There’s no “one” recipe for Keto Egg Muffin Cups. They’re so customizable that you can put basically anything in them. So let’s see how easy it is to make your own custom recipe & then check out my four favorite keto egg muffin recipes!

Tip: Breakfast egg muffin cups can be made anytime and frozen. When it’s time to eat them, just pop them in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

Ingredients

  • 12 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Add-Ins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with silicone liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk eggs & salt.
  3. Stir in Add-Ins.
  4. Divide into lined muffin cups up to 2/3 full. Do not overfill!
  5. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

Notes

Liners

I prefer silicone liners because they're reusable (unlike paper) and don't add extra grease (unlike spray). You can use paper liners or non-stick cooking spray if you'd like.

Add-Ins

You can use anything you want as add-ins!

  • Meats like bacon, ham, ground beef, shredded chicken
  • Veggies like spinach, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms
  • Dairy like cream cheese, cheddar, other cheeses
  • Seasonings like chipotle, chili, oregano, garlic powder

The only limit is your imagination (and ingredient availability).

Variety

You don't have to make 12 of the same egg muffins. If you want to make several different ones (2, 4, 6, up to you), divide the egg mixture into the muffin cups and then stir your add-ins into each cup.
