A margarita is not supposed to be a 20oz drink packed with sugar and syrups. A margarita is a should be a balance of sweet and tart. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a fruity margarita (you can), it just means you should watch your size and sugar content!
Margarita

1.5 oz Tequila
1 oz Triple Sec (or any orange liqueur)
3/4 oz Lime Juice, fresh
Ice
- Garnish
Salt or Sugar Rim
Lime Slice / Wedge
Directions
- Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
- Fill shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously until shaker is ice cold (25 to 30 seconds).
- Strain into glass.
- Garnish & Enjoy.
Notes
- You can serve your margarita with or without ice. Alternatively, you can blend the ingredients and have a slushy-style margarita.
